Antique Sterling Silver .925 timble made by the Waite, Thresher Co in the late 19th century. Features a star and a thimble. Waite, Thresher Co was founded in Providence, Rhode island, 1884 - 1928. Manufactureres of silver and gold thimbles. Originally founded by Daniel Waite in 1860 as DW Waite & Co. Henry Thresher became a partner in 1884. Simons Brothers acquired their deisngs when the firm disolved. First mark was a star, the thimble in its interior was added later. Successor to the Waite, Smith & Co.
