Mid Century Modern Hungerford of Memphis dresser or tall chest of drawers. Made of mahogany featuring five drawers and brass capped feet. 8706 Five Drawer Chest, Royal Pastel.

Hungerford Furniture was known for chosing Elvis to be the focus point of a massive campaign that ultimately never happended in the 50s. The executives at Hungerford decided that Elvis fans would rather buy records than expensive Mahogany furnture. Instead, there was a photoshoot with Elvis posing with the executives in front of a dresser. The Elvis line never made it to market.

Condition

Good overall condition, some wear and distressing from age and use, missing hardware, the pulls pictured are broken, but we saved them in case someone chooses to match up new pulls as the dresser opens fine without.
