A large and impressive vintage L Stephano Impressionist / Barbizon style landscape oil painting on canvas featuring a river runing through a picturesque countryside. Framed in ebonized pine frame.

L. Stephano whom was born October 4, 1948 in Incheon, Gyeonggi Province, in South Korea. His Impressionistic style and technique developed from a young age when he set out to master the oil on canvas medium. French Impressionism can be seen as an obvious inspiration and he in fact studied imagery of Southern France and Great Britain where he created imagery from memory more than the actual source. He moved on to work in his own studio and study works from masters including Jean-Baptiste-Camille-Corot as well as Gustave Courbet.
