Rare Antique 19th Century American Federal Mahogany Carved Sofa Settee

Description

A Very Fine American Federal Period Carved Mahogany Sofa, circa 1830. Features a bowfront frame with sloped arms leading to reeded supports. The sofa is supported by turned and reeded legs at the front and square tapered saber legs along the rear. Upholstered in a red floral silk fabric, a great candidate for re-upholstery.

Condition

Good Overall; Frame shows some nick, marks and finish wear from age. Needs new upholstery. Old fabric is loose, torn, missing in spots and stained.
