Very large late 20th century oil painting on canvas titled Open Window II by Cecile Broz, aka Rose Aimee Guite. Depicts a stylized interior room lined with bookshelves and a pair of armchairs, set before open french doors leading to a balcony that overlooks water and a distant town of red roofed houses. Cecile Broz was born in sept Itles, Quebec, Canada in 1959. She moved with her family to the United States in 1966. Cecile recieved her BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design in 1982, where she was the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships. She recieved her MFA in printmaking in 1986, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she recieved the top award in the graduate art department. She then taught full time for thee years at Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, where she had full responsibility for the printmaking and design programs. She moved to Atlanta in 1989 to work as a professional artist. Cecile paints under the pen name Rose Aimee Guite, and some of her style resembles the work from Thomas McKnight.
