Reimagined with English country elegance, these Minton Spidell armchairs beautifully adopt the refined proportions of the George III Open Arm style, capturing the transitional period where French rococo influences met British neoclassical restraint. A noticeable difference between these chairs and those of Louis XV form is the placement of the arms. Neoclassicism brought changes in fashion which required the arms to move to the front of the chair.
