Pair of two mid century modern Erwin Lambeth sofas, settees, love seats or couches, circa 1970s. Made with a Crewel upholstery featuring floral motif with greens, yellows, beige and orange.

Provenance : Jerome Schottenstein Estate, Columbus Ohio. Jerome was was an American entrepreneur and philanthropist, co-founder of Schottenstein Stores Corp. The Schottenstein family were Lithuanian immigrants who began an extensive business empire in the late 19th Century. Schottenstein Stores owns stakes in DSW and American Signature Furniture; American Eagle Outfitters, retail liquidator SB360 Capital Partners, over 50 shopping centers, and 5 factories producing its shoes and furniture. It also holds an ownership interest in American Eagle Outfitters, Wehmeyer in Germany, Cold Stone Creamery and The Mazel Company.

Erwin-Lambeth was a furniture company in Thomasville, North Carolina, USA.
The company was founded by James Erwin Lambeth Sr, in 1902 as the Standard Chair Company. In 1947 James Erwin Lambeth Jr and his wife Katherine Lambeth renamed it the Erwin-Lambeth company. They built a new plant with the aim to create furniture specifically for the design trade.
A designer, Katherine Lambreth was the first president of the company. Erwin-Lambreth produced high-end mid century furniture and accessories such as table lamps. It merged with Tomlinson's in the late 1980s.
