20th Century Chippendale Carved Mahogany Extendable Dining Table Ball & Claw 124"

Description

Exquisite chippendale style dining table, circa 1980s. A rectangular form made from mahogany with two extendable leaves. The table is supported by acanthus carved pedestal leading to ball and claw feet. Features a thick decorative edge of Gadrooning. Gadrooning is a motif consisting of convex curves in a series. Gadrooning, derived from Roman sarcophagi and other antiquities, was widely used during the Italian Renaissance, and in the classicising phases of 18th- and 19th-century design.

Includes 2 leaves for extension and custom table pads.
