Maitland Smith Neoclassical Egyptian Revival Iron Bronze Plant Stand Jardiniere

Description

An impressive cauldron or planter by Maitland-Smith, circa 1990s. Made from iron and bronze in Neoclassical, French Empire and Egyptian styling. Features an iron tripod base connected by X form stretchers with bronze accents. Each leg has an ornate scalloped shell along the top over figural Panther or Lion at the center and paw foot base. Upper apron is showcased by a bronze wave crest design. The plater or bowl is made from tessellated marble. A glass top could be added to turn into a fun bar pub table.
