Description
Late 18th century to early 19th century Welsh Dresser or pewter cupboard. Made from oak with a gray painted finish. Features an upper hutch or rack with three shelves and metal hooks for pans and utensils over a paneled base with two drawers and a lower cabinet with a shelf. The cabinet is supported by bracket feet. The hutch portion is a later 20th century addition to the piece. The base has an incredible patina and character. Mortise and tenon construction. Look at the interior of the lower cabinet to see the centuries-old boards along the bottom.
Condition
Fair; structurally solid, distressing, and age-related wear. Wormholes, marks, past repairs, and scuffs. One hook missing on the hutch.
