Antique early 19th century oak chest or trunk. Designed to serve as a container for sea transport, this sea chests features dovetailed joinery with hinged, domed top and iron hardware. Includes a working lock and key.

Fair condition, wear and distressing from age and use, splitting / cracking, missing trim, fading, marking / scuffing, missing bottom of escutcheon plate, working lock, strong handles, back hinges replaced at some point.
