Antique Maddox Chippendale Mahogany Serpentine Secretary Writing Desk Bookcase

Description

A gorgeous serpentine oxbow secretary desk by Maddox Tables of Jamestown NY. Made from American mahogany. Interior opens to five drawers and multiple divided and hidden compartments. Upper bookcase portion shows an open pediment with turned trophy finial. Doors are glass with fretwork. There are 2 interior bookcase shelves. Hardware is made of brass in classic Chippendale fashion, circa 1940s. Ball and Claw feet.

Condition

Structurally solid, wear and distressing from age and use, fading, scuffing, marking.
