Antique 1916 William Edwin Fitzmaurice Impressionist country landscape oil painting on canvas, depicting a tranquil pastoral scene with river / lake, farmhouse and sheep. Signed lower right.

William was the son of two Irish Immigrants who met on a ship to the United States. He was one of eleven siblings, one brother and nine sisters. They lived in Indiana.

Condition

Wear from age; some discoloration / creasing to canvas; not attached to frame; crazing / trim loss / splitting to frame.
