Description

An early 20th Hand Painted Delft Wall Hanging Plate. Features a river scene in Delft, South Hollands showcasing the Oostpoort. The Oostpoort is a historic 15th-century fortified city gate built in the Brick Gothic style. Located at the eastern end of the old town, it is a prominent, photogenic landmark featuring two towers and an old bridge. It is part of the former defense system. The plate is blue and white with a scalloped edge. It is signed along the back side and dates to 1922.
