Description

Vintage beaded nobility throne stool / side table / plant stand from the Bamileke tribe of Cameroon. It is constructed from carved Azobe wood, covered with cloth, and intricately decorated with multicolored glass beads. The stool features a zoomorphic crouching quadrupled Leopard animal design.

Royal Privilege: Traditionally, only a ruler or highly important nobles were permitted to sit on stools depicting animals.
