McGuire Mid Century Modern Octagonal Bamboo Dining Table & 8 Chairs

Description

Monumental mid century modern dining table and eight chairs by McGuire Furniture. The table features octagonal form with a complex geometric base consisting of bamboo poles bundled and connected with wicker / rattan. Eight legs and central support columns are all capped with brass fittings to support the heavy beveled glass top. The brass fittings are very rare. Most tables are sold without them, and they picture the table upside down using the nylon glides instead.

The chairs feature Hollywood Regency and Chinese Chippendale styling with bamboo poles connected by wicker / rattan binding to form the iconic pierced bullseye or target back design with brass ring, sloped arms, padded seat and legs connected by an H stretcher.

Condition

Very good condition. Extremely heavy glass top. Some staining / fading to removable cushions.
