Description
Circa 1880s dresser with mirror. Made from walnut with burled panels and ornately carved details. Features three drawers with knocker handles and a marble top. Drawers are constructed via the napp joint. The napp joint, also known as pin and cove, was developed in the late Victorian period, 1870s-1890s. As a very strong joint for furniture drawers allowing for a means of mass scaling in production. The napp joint pre-dates the standard dovetail as seen in modern furniture.

Very good antique condition, some light pitting to mirror from age, wear to burl veneer, one covered panel missing on rear.
