17th century (circa 1675) Roman naval column and fountain engraving. Publisher: Antonio Lafreri (French, Orgelet, Franche-Comte ca. 1512–1577 Rome) Portfolio: Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae. Published as part of Antonio Lafreri's Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae (The Mirror of Roman Magnificence). It is likely that individuals who purchased the prints from Lafreri made their own selections and had them bound.
