Mt Airy Crotch Walnut French Provincial Louis XV Serpentine Buffet Server Chest

Circa 1940s Mount Airy buffet, server or chest. Made from walnut with a serpentine front and crotch veneered drawers. Features carved accents, scalloped brass hardware, cabriole legs and glass top.

Mount Airy of North Carolina's roots go back to 1888 when the lumber and woodworking industry was booming. They had three large factories and quickly evolved into specialized furniture suites. They enjoyed a successful run until 1997 when a fire completely destroyed their facilities.
