National Mt. Airy Maple Biedermeier Style Curved Glass Breakfront China Cabinet

Description

Late 20th century American made breakfront by National Mt. Airy. Made from maple with ebonized trim and brass hardware. Includes bowed outer cabinet, adjustable glass shelves with plate groove, illuminated interior and silverware drawer. Mount Airy of North Carolina's roots go back to 1888 when the lumber and woodworking industry was booming. They had three large factories and quickly evolved into specialized furniture suites. They enjoyed a successful run until 1997 when a fire completely destroyed their facilities.
