Description

Pair of orange/brown stone carved bi-discs. The bi or pi disc is a flat disc with a circular hole in the center. The discs date back to Neolithic times (5,000-2,000 bc). Archeologists speculate that the round shape of the disc might symbolise the power of the sun, the heavens or the afterlife. It was used in daily life as a symbol of rank and status. This unique pair is oblong shaped and rest upon 2 iron stands.
