Description

A rare and impressive mid 19th century French cast iron fireplace insert or surround. A concave form with meticulous detail. Features three cherubs scenes, each set within a neoclassical oval ribboned frame. The beautiful scenes are offset by a field of lattice work with flowers at each link. The insert is framed along the inner and outer edge by a ribboned or rope trim. A gorgeous insert that will become a conversation piece in any setting. Marked along the backside Courtll
