The term hutch table took form in the early 18th century when it was important to maximize storage and space. The combination of a table and a chest that could quickly be converted into a chair. This beautiful example comes to us from the first half of the 19th century. Drawing form from Early America. Hand-hewn from pine and crafted with hand tools and hand cut nails. Features a round plank top that tilts upward to showcases a lower bench. The seat lid lifts open for accessory storage.
