Vintage folk art nautical maritime design side chair featuring a hand painted Viking Clipper ship with rope twist border sailing the ocean with a red ensign or ""Red Duster"" flag, which is the civil ensign of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Marked Viking 1857.

Estate of J. Frederic Gagel, owner of multiple Thoroughbred race horses that competed in the Narragansett Special and Kentucky Derby. Their family heritage was strongly intertwined with the military having officers in battles dating back to the American Revolution.
