Late 20th century African tribal / folk art hand carved dark wood mask, featuring a gently smiling painted face with U-shaped beard trimmed with braided raffia and an open almond shaped headpiece overlaid with a hammered / embossed metal sheet. Line of text like newspaper print are partially visible on the metal. Leather strap for wall display on reverse.
