Description
Late 19th Century French Renaissance Revival Buffet, Server or Sideboard. Originally called a Desserte, and used to display desserts. Features a rectangular tiered frame crafted from walnut. The upper surface showcases a bevel trimmed edge with egg and dart pattern over an ornate carved frieze housing two dovetailed drawers. Drawer fronts are intricately carved with round medallions and figured drawer pulls. Each drawer is set between low relief medieval Northwind Faces. the frieze is set over turned and fluted columns leading to the two other shelves and a base supported by bun feet. A beautiful design and shape allowing for versatile function in modern times. Great for use as a Console Table, TV Stand or Dry Bar.
