Antique French Renaissance walnut buffet a deux corps / vaisselier / cupboard / cabinet / hutch featuring Henry II styling with carved figural and floral theme. The top of the cabinet features a cabochon crest flanked by dolphins and reticulated gallery over a pierced gallery with finials. The upper cabinet has a central paneled door carved with a figural scene of a musician in the garden, which is flanked by floral and acanthus designs, and pairs of fluted columns. The cabinet is supported by two carved friars who sit in between drop finials right in front of the spice rail / rack / shelf. The lower cabinet features three drawers with brass hardware surrounded by Northwind faces, above carved panel doors and bun feet.

A buffet � deux corps, which literally translates to "buffet with two bodies", is a type of French furniture that has two tiers, with the upper section sitting on top of a wider lower section. This style of furniture was popular in French homes and was designed to store kitchen goods and heirlooms.
