Description

Antique French Renaissance / Henry II style walnut buffet a deux corps / vaisselier / cupboard / cabinet / hutch featuring Neoclassical carved figural / acanthus / floral theme. The top of the cabinet features three cabinets with design of cornucopias and torchiere, flanked by cabochon crests and fluted columns. The center of the cabinet features a spice rail / rack / shelf with reticulated gallery, and is supported by a base with two drawers and lower cabinet with carved dolpins / delphins and floral cornucopias.

A buffet � deux corps, which literally translates to "buffet with two bodies", is a type of French furniture that has two tiers, with the upper section sitting on top of a wider lower section. This style of furniture was popular in French homes and was designed to store kitchen goods and heirlooms.
