Mid to late 20th century impressionist style oil on canvas cityscape painting by Spanish artist Monserrat S. Torrens, depicting a Paris street bustling with figures, flower sellers and a street car. Signed in corner. Giltwood frame with foliate and scallop shell accents; white linen border.

"Professor Monserrat S. Torrens - Born on November 3, 1933, she is university graduated profesor of fine arts. Besides her art teaching profession, she paints and participates in group exhibitions as well as on her own shows. She exhibited at the well known "Salon de Otono" in Palma de Majorca. In 1970 was honored at "Certamen National de Pintura" in Barcelona, Spain. Traditional in style, veristic in expression, her paintings are well acepted by both public and art critics. Torrens travelled and painted throughout Europe so that her paintings are to be found in art galleries of Paris as well as the ones of Vienna and Munchen.
