Description
A rare pair of early 20th century converted glass wrought iron street post lights / lamps. Features a copper hexagonal lantern top with spire finial over fluted molding and beveled glass inserts. The lantern is supported by a large wrought iron post with scrolled accents leading to a round pedestal base. The top has one central socket for illumination.
Procured from a historic 1922 waterfront estate on Orcas Island, Washington. Known for a Hollywood history, once home to Theda Bara and Silent Film producers with John Wayne and others regularly frequenting.
Condition
Good Antique Condition; General wear rust / desired patina from age and use. Some bending to copper. Glass inserts slightly smaller than frame.
