Antique / Mid Century 1939–1940 Golden Shell Oil skeleton pocket watch manufactured by Girard-Perregaux as a promotional piece for Shell Oil Company dealers, complete with its matching enamel fob and original box.

History and Design: Switzerland's Girard-Perregaux produced roughly 30,000 of these 7-jewel skeleton watches to give an "x-ray" view of the internal gears, originally intended to be lubricated with actual Shell motor oil.
