Description

An antique Victorian mahogany torchère pedestal stand features a small, circular flat tabletop bordered by a simple bullnose molded edge. The highly elevated structure is defined by a slender, multi-tiered turned wood central pillar that subtly swells near the middle before meeting an architectural lower column. This central support anchors into a unique tripod base design, where three distinctive, open-fretwork scroll-carved support brackets flank the lower column and branch outward into sweeping, down-curved legs. The underside shows a robust circular mounting plate secured by a central screws. A classically designed as a standalone plant stand, sculpture pedestal, or candle torchère.
