Vintage Lynda C. Bryan Hand Carved Pine Wooden Wildlife Herring Gull Sculpture

Description

Vintage Lynda C. Bryan hand-carved pine wooden wildlife sculpture beautifully captures the likeness of a Herring Gull (commonly referred to as a seagull) with an elegant, smooth finish that highlights the artisan's woodworking skill. Carved from solid pine, the bird features a sleek, stylized body painted in soft, clean tones, including a crisp white head and breast contrasted by a muted blue-gray back and wings that taper into a black-and-white patterned tail. Its head is gracefully turned to the side, displaying a bright yellow beak and finely detailed eyes that give the sculpture an alert, lifelike expression. The entire bird sits perched atop a rustic, chunky wooden dock piling base, which is realistically weathered with a natural split down the middle and wrapped tightly in several layers of coarse jute rope.
