Baker Stately Homes serpentine chest. A fine chippendale serpentine carved mahogany chest, with moulded border to the shaped top, fitted with three short drawers and three graduated long drawers, the canted angles finely carved with trailing flowers and berried foliage, on boldly shaped ogee bracket feet. Baker Furniture Company, established 1891. This piece is from the Stately Homes of England and Scotland Collection, selected by Sir Humphrey Wakefield.
