Early 19th century colored French engraving titled L’Escamoteur (The Conjurer) created in 1801 by Louis Charles Ruotte (1754-1806) after a work Jean-Francis Bosio, showing a party of people in a parlor surrounding a table where a conjurer is performing magic tricks.
