Copyright by the Holly Publishing Company, Print No. 36, pencil signed by the artist. “Born in Los Angeles, California in 1890, Menasco became a painter of equestrian subject, after working in Los Angeles and having a successful career in New York City with an advertising agency.

He moved to Kentucky in 1948 and was there for the remainder of his life, dying in 1974. He earned a reputation for being able to depict accurately the anatomy of horses and for showing them in natural stances and attitudes. Many of his paintings had backgrounds of horse farms.”
