Jean Elysée Puiforcat was a French silversmith, sculptor and designer. Puiforcat is considered the ""most important French Art Deco silversmith."" These handcrafted utensils show off the exceptional skill of the legendary Puiforcat silversmiths.

This elegant, classical cardinal silverplate flatware is inspired by a drawing made in the late 17th century. The Cardinal flatware set is typical of the classical style yet remains remarkably sophisticated in its modernity. The spoon, fitted with a silversmith’s flourish, stands out with a spearhead-shaped support extending from the base of the tines and the bowl. The fork features a similar spearheaded support on its handle as well, while the knife evokes the silhouette of a hunting knife with a curved blade and rounded handle embellished with a stud on the end. The silver-plated Cardinal collection is a spin-off of Richelieu flatware, fashioned in sterling silver and designed in France by Jean de Puiforcat.

Boasting unparalleled savoir-faire, the House of Puiforcat puts fourth elements of its heritage while imagining tomorrow classics. Beyond tableware, Puiforcat is dedicated to unmatched expertise in cultivating the complete silversmith’s Art of living in fine taste and decoration.
