Jan Frazee currently is working in oil at her studio in Blowing Rock, NC. Her paintings are exhibited at leading art festivals across the country, in select galleries and at her studio gallery in Blowing Rock. Jan studied painting/drawing, color theory and stain glass design, while pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture at the School of Environmental Design at Louisiana State University.

Her paintings are conceived from an emotional response to the subtlety of an expression/gesture; or the color reflected on the river’s surface in a morning landscape. She uses sketches and photos as reference to capture a moment of time that represents meaning and beauty.
