A Large format vintage re-strike of the popular Plate, circa mid 20th century. The original prints were struck from engraved steel plates don by J. Harris, printed by a variety of publishers,and then hand-colored. Harris directly copied the engraving from the painting done bu J.F. Herring SENR (There were a father and son working on similar scenes at the same time.). The majority of these pieces are 30"" or smaller in frame. With a larger 41"" presence this piece offers a stately vibe making it perfect for a library, office or study.
