Vintage Biggs Furniture Chippendale / Queen Anne oval drop leaf dining table, circa last half 20th century. Made of mahogany featuring a high gloss georgian finish. The table has a rectangular or oval form with large drop leaves, gatelegs and slipper feet. Originally Purchased from William W. Sauer Associates Ltd. Bethesda, MD in 1982.

Biggs Furniture, based in Richmond, Virginia, was once a leading U.S. manufacturer of colonial reproduction furniture. The company flourished in the 20th century, alongside reproductions by Colonial Williamsburg by the Kittinger Company, and other mass market reproduction brands like Ethan Allen and Pennsylvania House. In 1975, the company was purchased by the Kittinger Company.
