An impressive set of 4 Hand colored Italian Equestrian Engravings After Carle Vernet, circa mid 19th century. Each engraving is hand colored and depicts a scene from the race with titles (translated below). The engravings are nicely matted and professionally framed. Antoine Charles Horace Vernet, better known as Carle Vernet, was a French painter, the youngest child of Claude-Joseph Vernet and the father of Horace Vernet.
