Framed late 19th century hand colored engraving depicting "The Children's Pantomime Party at Covent Garden Theatre" by Francis Wilfred Lawson, extracted from The Graphic, 1871. A beautifully cut mat framed in a dark stained wood frame with beaded trim and egg and dart molding along the edges.
"Francis Wilfred Lawson (1842-1935) was active/lived in United Kingdom. He exhibited at the RA 1867-84, the Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham, Grosvenor Gallery, Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts, Manchester City Art Gallery, New English Art Club, Royal Society of British Artists and elsewhere. His work is held by the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. He was the elder brother of the artist Cecil Gordon Watson 1851-1882.
