Antique 19th Century Painted Grain Poplar Dovetailed Blanket Storage Trunk Chest

Description

An antique primitive painted grain storage trunk or chest, circa 1840s. Made from poplar with beautiful red and black graining in the manner of flame mahogany. The case is mounted on bracket feet with serpentine accents. Origin; Amish Country Holmes County Ohio.

Condition

Fair antique condition, wear and distressing commensurate with age and use, scuffing / gouging / finish loss, no key.
