A charming vintage Baker Furniture traditional rolled arm sofa, circa 1995. Features green damask fabric inspired by French design with floral boquets centered around laurel leaf and acanthus sprays. Includes two matching throw pillows and two smaller yellow pink and green plaid pillows. Seat cushions, back cushions and matching throw pillows are all a cobination of down and polyester fiber. The sofa is supported by mahogany finished square tapered legs concealed behind a skirted apron. This sofas timeless design will make a warm and comfotable addition to any space.
The Baker Sofa is known for its two-piece backrest, wooden frame, hand-sewn upholstery, and spring-loaded cushions. The sofa was designed in 1951 by Finn Juhl and introduced to the American design community by Edgar Kaufmann Jr., the director of the Industrial Design Department at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
