John and Elinor McGuire founded McGuire Furniture in 1948 in San Francisco. Their goal was to offer functional and beautiful pieces for the home and backyard. Their signature look combines natural materials like rattan and hide with clean, Asian inspired shapes. McGuire Furniture's design is timeless and exudes the laidback spirit of coastal California. Many of the original furniture by McGuire Furniture Company were created in the mid-century modern style in north america during the 20th century.
