Description

American Victorian Gothic Revival hall chest, console table or cabinet. Circa 1870s. Features a rectangular form made from walnut with a hand dovetailed inset paneled drawer flanked by grape carvings, over a lower cabinet with gothic style arched door. The cabinet opens to one shelf for accessory storage. The upper drawer features brass knocker pulls. Drawer is hand planed along the underside.

Condition

fair; wear and distressing from use and age, split to door. Finish loss. Stain along top as well as holes from where a topper used to rest.
