Mid-20th Century Chinese Ming Style Elm Altar Wine Table Hall Console 35"

Description

Mid-century Chinese elm altar table. Showcasing a compact, provincial silhouette rich in rustic character. The rectangular top is constructed with traditional thick elm planks set flush within a mitered frame, explicitly revealing beautifully exposed mortise-and-tenon joinery patches along the edges. Below the top, the table is heavily adorned with an intricately carved apron featuring scrolling ruyi-cloud and foliage motifs stretching across the front and side panels. It is supported by straight, square legs reinforced by high side stretchers, creating a sturdy and open design.
