6 Vintage Nichols & Stone Co. Maple Hitchcock Style Stenciled Dining Chairs

Description

This set of six vintage Nichols & Stone Co. side chairs beautifully mimics the iconic, early 19th-century Hitchcock furniture style through high-quality American craftsmanship

Constructed from robust solid maple, each chair features a classic dark wood finish paired with elegant gold-painted highlights accenting the multi-ring turned front legs and horizontal back stretchers. The wide, curved top crest rails display a hand-decorated harvest motif featuring a central floral bloom bracketed by pumpkins and stylized leaves, while the lower slat showcases delicate gold stencil flourishes. This formal New England aesthetic is supported by four delicate spindles underneath the back rails and a square, contoured drop seat with front-facing gold leaf detailing. The authentic craftsmanship is verified on the undercarriage by both an impressed maker stamp from Gardner, Massachusetts, and a factory paper label numbering the style
