Ohio Farmers Insurance French Limoges Porcelain Trinket Box 150th Anniversary

Description

Celebrate history with this highly collectible, limited-edition hand-painted Limoges porcelain trinket box.

This beautiful, hinged porcelain box was commissioned to commemorate the 150th Anniversary (1848–1998) of the Ohio Farmers Insurance Company (now known as Westfield Insurance). Based out of Westfield Center (LeRoy), Medina County, Ohio, this piece is a wonderful slice of corporate and regional Ohio history.

The lid features a hand-painted scene of a 19th-century farmer resting with his scythe. Opening the brass bow clasp reveals two finely detailed inner illustrations: the original 1848 log-cabin style office on the inside lid, and the grand 1998 corporate headquarters on the interior base.
