Vintage Emile Dekel signed print titled La Belle Epoque, featuring a modern art deco style portrait of a woman and man in formal attire.

Emile Dekel was born and raised in Lyon , France , and traveled to Israel to continue his studies. He became a member of a Kibbutz and was involved n the performing arts for several years. He then returned to France to study at the Ecole Natinale Superieure Des Arts Decoratifs in Paris . He then moved on to Syracuse University for graduate study in Industrial Arts. Mr. Dekel was commissioned by the government of Israel to do a research study on World Design Society of America magazine in 1972. He then enrolled in special courses at New York Institute of Fine Arts, where he developed his own technique for intaglio carvings.
